On the edge of light
Blush of meadow in your eyes
Dawn a dream away

**********

The apple tree bares
A bird hangs from the feeder
Suddenly it’s cold

**********

She closes her eyes
Darkness a brighter image
She’s drowning – drowning

**********

A candle flickers
A moment of being young
She flirts with the light

**********

Watching the rainbows
Puddles evaporating
Sunshine gives and takes

**********

Mirror of sunshine
Brighter is the moon tonight
Remembering us

**********

Warm sand – cooling sea
A distance between us
Our footprints merging

**********

Eyes opening wide
A full moon through my window
I stare ‘till it’s gone

**********

A child yells for more
The mother bows to his tune
The music plays on

**********

The sunflower wilts
Putting the garden to sleep
Seeds blow in the wind

**********

The church door opens
Boarding prised from the windows
Light enters once more

**********

A blackbird singing
Someone must be listening
Someone must be me
